From the beach........Original paintings and unique creations inspired by the sea
 | IntroductionThe Sea offers recreation, relaxation, occupation, meditation and contemplation to many. My work simply reflects my own need to commune with this mighty force of nature: to observe its ever changing, form, colour and strength.....and even to make something of the gems its waves carry to our shores. My WorkI paint in both acrylic and oil paint. I love filling large boards with craggy coastlines and swirling seas but I also create pieces of a perfect size to hang above the mantlepiece. I frame some with the driftwood I collect from my local beach and some canvases sell unframed. Custom House Shop and Gallery on St Mary's Street in Cardigan (Ceredigion, Wales, UK) have been doing a great job of selling my work and I've no doubt, will continue to do so. I donate half of the profit I make on any sales, to a charity I can't mention by name due to the regulations governing charities but they do an incredible job bringing clean water to the third world. They install stand pipes and irrigation systems in far flung villages: Making the population in these areas self-sufficient and less likely to die of the many horrific water bourne diseases. Hanging one of my paintings on your wall makes the world a better place.
